Young People's Worker
We're really excited about our current job opportunity here at at St John's.
We are keen to nurture our small group of young people in their faith, service and Christian witness. We also want to provide opportunities for other young people to encounter faith, belonging and community, and in turn to be encouraged in service and discipleship.
To this end we are creating a new part time role for an enthusiastic young people’s worker to focus on working with young people aged 10+ and their families in the church and community.
We are looking for someone who:
is a committed Christian with passion for sharing the gospel with young people and families
is relational, able to build strong, positive relationships with the young people, and who will encourage strong community amongst the young people.
is a good communicator with the ability to explore the gospel with young people in ways that are biblically faithful, relevant and engaging
has a pioneering heart, and is committed to developing work with, and alongside the young people, encouraging ownership and creativity amongst the young people themselves.
Salary : 8 hours per week @ £10 per hour
Closing date: Friday 29 March
Interview date: Monday 8 April
Start date: TBC dependent on the successful applicant’s availability.
