Below you will find a recent testimonial from Trevor and Angela Wootton at the baptism of their children, Henry and Scarlett.

"We wanted to write to thank you and everyone involved with St. John’s Church for the very warm welcome you extended to us and our wider family on the occasion of our children’s Baptisms on Sunday 14th June.

We have always felt that St. John’s exudes a very welcoming and relaxed atmosphere, which made the occasion less formal but no less significant. Our family and friends were also all made to feel at ease and commented warmly afterwards regarding their impressions of the church and the service. Many of our friends have young children like us, and it is refreshing to attend a church which actively includes the little ones, despite the distraction they can sometimes cause.

On a personal level, we felt that everyone genuinely welcomed us and our children, Henry and Scarlett, into the church community. This feeling of inclusion was all the more appreciated given the relatively short amount of time we have been attending services at St. John’s, echoing the sense of community and family which seems to underpin your ethos.

Once again, thank you for your welcome. We look forward to many more years as members of your congregation, growing as a family within the wider family of the church.

With best wishes and kind regards."
